The event at Lake Eustis was enjoyable despite weather challenges, leading to race cancellations. The team finished mid-fleet in the Championship division, falling short of expectations but relishing the experience. Of four races, video coverage was incomplete. They look forward to competing at Ft. Walton Beach soon.

The Bluegrass Sailing Club hosted its second annual Bourbon Regatta Sail-Fest with light winds affecting performance. Despite setbacks, the Brothers secured third place, mirroring last year’s result. They learned valuable lessons regarding equipment setup and race strategy. After this regatta, they plan a winter break before returning to racing in February 2025.

The 2024 US Sailing Adult Sailing Championship at the Detroit Yacht Club showcased top teams from across the nation. Team Gadzooks! expressed gratitude to organizers and sponsors. Key lessons included adaptability, teamwork, and the challenges of racing unfamiliar boats. Jeff Whiteway won the Mallory Cup, while camaraderie and sportsmanship prevailed.

Excited to share that U.S. Sailing has invited The Brothers to compete in the 2024 U.S. Adult Sailing Championship for the Clifford D. Mallory Trophy. The event, hosting 11 top sailors nationwide, will take place at the Detroit Yacht Club from September 27 to September 29.
