For you kids out there keeping score, you’ll notice that we did NOT sail at the 118th Annual Ephraim regatta, breaking our consistent monthly outing on Gadzooks. Why? Because Kevin had some personal business to attend (that involved beer!). But, we do indeed intend to sail it in 2024; in fact, we already have reservations at the Pine Grove Resort.
In the meantime, take a look at the results. Very interesting distribution of finishes in Races 1, 2, and 3. We received a really great email from Paul Newton, owner of “Vatican Smoke” (4771), indicating winds were from the east and very shifty on Day 1, and more “normal” for Day 2 (westerly?).

For the rest of the season, Gadzooks intends to sail the following regattas:
September 9 & 10, 2023: Glow II Regatta, Lake Clinton Sailing Association, Clinton, IL
September 15-17, 2023: Whale of a Sail Regatta, Carlyle Sailing Association, Carlyle, IL
October 21 & 22, 2023: Sail-Fest Flying Scot Regatta, Kentucky Lake Sailing Club, Kenlake State Resort Park, Hardin, KY
We also plan to do the Flying Scot Florida District 4 Regatta in Tampa, and the Florida District 5 & Midwinter’s Regatta in Eustis, January and February. Watch for more details!
